With Gatan’s SI Acquisition, data is acquired a specified number of times (as defined by “Passes”), and these data are then integrated to produce a single output. Using SmartAlign’s Multi-frame SI Acquisition, on the other hand, each individual frame can be output. With this update, it is now possible to select a high-speed multi-frame data acquisition mode (high-speed multi-pass mode) that uses the Passes feature of Gatan’s SI Acquisition. Please note that the HQ (High-quality) Dark Correction cannot be applied to individual spectra.
Furthermore, for Align Extra Signal/SI data/4D data command, it is now possible to use the reference data, for which rigid alignment has not been performed. In this case, only non-rigid alignment will be applied to the target data.
We are currently developing a version that is approximately 5 times faster in processing speed. We plan to release it soon, so please stay tuned.
